Mirko Gojic
# Mirko "The" Gojic
Our founding father. The one and only, our league's first Commissioner, while walking his boys home from school was inspired by the Padawan to start-up this good ship lollipop and has never looked back. Mirko retired following the 2013/14 season when the city of kings (King City) called him to take his throne north.

Andria Hunter
In her first year with the MDHO (2014/15), Andria has proved to be a force to reckon with. This Peterborough native lights up the goal light more often than not with her offensive prowess. Watching this ex-pro play, one quickly understands why she was inducted into the Peterborough Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. When not pushing kids around the Mimico neighbourhood, you can find her pushing hockey equipment with her stroller.

"Marky" Mark Lee
Nothing Funky with this elite hockey superstar as Mark pours on the offense on a nightly basis. Yo, you can always mark "Marky" Mark down for some game breaking breakdance breakout moves.
Kenji "Bag O' Tricks" Nicks #34
Opponents don't know whats coming next from Kenji's big bag of scoring tricks. Now if only his teammates can keep up with this Copperfield clone, it's all good in the 6ix.
Bruce "Lee" Shaw #27
Bruce entered the league by storm, throwing down a hat trick and apple in his Dad's debut in 2017/18. A consistent 2 way player, this hockey legend and Kung-Fu master packs his Fists of Fury to Enter the Dragon's Den on Drummond every Sunday night.
Kevin "Killer" Hillier # 1/2
This Mimico keeper shuts scoring down between the pipes on a nightly basis. 1/2 Brodeur, 1/2 Hextall. Kevin has a "Killer" glove hand and crazy, wild Philly eyes that have never seen an opponent's legs his stick hasn't met. When he's not watching the paint for Dad's games at Mimico Arena, Killer kicks back and watches the dock paint dry up at the cottage with a beer in hand.
Jon "The Mechanic" Land #19
Jon plays the game with precision hockey tools that are unmatched in the MDHO, showing us all how its done. This high flying scoring machine never slows down, winning the HART MVP and ART ROSS scoring title in every non - broken limb season!

David "Pirate" Johnson #11
Aye Aye Captain! David takes his orders and runs a tight ship, delivering solid defense and holding the zone in pressure situations. A Mimico resident, David joined the league in year 2 and has been a treasure ever since!
"Faster" Jim Sanderson #55
By devine intervention, Jim found his way to our league. His scrappy play and furiously fast pursuits are a welcome addition to the Dads. Jim always finds himself in the conversation for the SHANAHAN award with his relentless attack of forwards, bringing thunderous, crushing defense nightly to Drummond St. Sanderson spends his daytime Sundays as Mimico Baptist Church's Pastor Jim, and moonlights with Canada's 2nd religion at Mimico Arena Sunday nights, lacing them up as "Faster" Jim.
SHANAHAN (MPP) - 2017/18 Season
SHANAHAN (MPP) - 2017/18 Season
Matt "Delorean" Borean #29
This steely netminder delivers stainless and polished protection of the twine on Drummond St. Sunday nights. Matt has the flex (and flux) capacity for acrobatic stops whether the puck's high, low, in front or back (to the future). Think you got that sure goal, you raise your hands up high, but all you get is a blocker knock in the bucket and a "HELLO, MCFLY! puck's in da glove, nice try" from the Borean Biffster.
JENNINGS - 2018/19 Season
JENNINGS - 2018/19 Season
Brad Arnold - Goalie
This silver haired Dapper Don prefers the pipes, literally. Brad's company Bradley Mechanical features industry leading advancements through PipeShield coatings and he came to us during the 2011/12 season, bringing sponsorship and shielding those red pipes for his team, whether on our inaugural road trip, or any given Sunday.

Ian 'Jobu' Gvozdek
Another entrepreneur in our midst. Also known as 'Da Big Cheese, Ian quit his day job in 2008 to run the Devonshire Manufacturing Group full-time ever since. A founding skater, sponsor through JoBu Design during the 2011/12 season, 'Jobu' helped design our 1st jersey logo and brings all-rounder consistency to his team.

David Evans
New to the league in 2012/13, David joined after a few drop-ins last year. A quick integration, posting 2 goals in his first 3 games, Dave is well adjusted and rounds out the Midget Cowboy's already impressive offensive firepower.
Richard Bourgeois
Taking a vacated spot during the 2nd half of 2011/12, Richard's mild manners off the ice belie his fierce puck-beating teeth gnashing determination on the ice. When you see him coming, get out of the way...or he'll run into you...not on purpose...just because he can't stop that well yet. Just watch out, all I'm saying.
Need a head-shot!
Need a head-shot!
Mark 'Bobskate' Carmichael
One of the league's founding skaters, Mark is the creative genious that inspired and delivered the creation of the honoured Mimico Monkey Cup our 1st year. Drafted to the Leaky Basements in the 2012/13 season Mark was repatriated back to the Midget Cowboys following a roster shake-up after only 2 games to help the team reach the pinnacle of Mimico hockey greatness.
Andrew Cianciusi
Andrew brings it, on and off the ice. His impeccable net-minding inspires awe from the sharp-shooters while his LinkedIn page is 90% admiring female contacts. This honour role graduate hangs around with the 'ol boys to stretch his legs on a Sunday night, and we're lucky for it.
#03 Jeff "Go Go" Guertin
A founding skater, Jeff brought solid end to end skills both in defense and offense. Jeff retired with the Leaky basements following the 2012/13 season prior to moving to the nation's capital of Ottawa.

David 'Cherub' Johnston
A rounded skill player, Dave plugs the holes. Don't let his baby face fool you, he's defense, offence, and can carry the puck or pass...you can count on solid play from this performer. Another founding skater.
'Uptown' Eric Khan
Many know Eric as a regular drop-ins over the years, but he's taken the plunge for the 2013/14 season, bringing his fast-paced, but jovial style to the MDHO and rounding out the Midget Cowboy's offense - that ever present smile belays his competitive spirit. Everyone knows if Eric Touche's the puck it's Puck in the Net, LLP.
Michael 'Lazer' Losito
Like the Austin Powers movies, sharks with Lasers have nothing on Michael. A founding skater and Captain in the 2011/12 season, Michael continues to bring a can-do attitude and formidable hockey mechanics to the team.
C - 2011/12 Midget Cowboys
C - 2011/12 Midget Cowboys
Peter 'The Beard' MacLennan
A founding skater, yet having never never worn a beard, earned the Ice Name for his nordic style net crashing invasions, leaving a trail of rubble in his wake. A top scoring forward, Peter's position growing up was defense, so he is another solid skill player and in conjunction with his Captaincy was voted Most Gentlemanly player in the 2011/12 season by his peers.
Voted Most Gentlemanly Player (MGP) - 2011/12 Season

#07 Mika "Maverik" Muinonen
A founding skater, Mika was a feared on-ice presence. Known for his assertive play, Mika was traded to and retired with the Leaky Basements following the 2012/13 season, moving up north with his family to pursue riches in mining.

John 'Nitro' Nevins
Buzzer beating goals is his trademark. John's sniper accuracy has seen him with the Midget Cowboys for the last 2 seasons and is on the ice when the pressure is on. A founding skater in the league & voted by his peers as most Gentlemanly Player in the 2010/11 season.

Greg 'NRA' O'Reilly
Watch out for this surly Irishman and thank your lucky stars he's more interested in scoring than knocking the shamrocks our from under you. A founding skater, his offensive attacks are sorely needed to help bring the cup to Leaky Basements everywhere.
Will Quon - Goalie
Bam! Bam! Bam! The sounds of pucks ricocheting off his pads, Will answered the Mimico call and has been protecting the net since our first year. A diverse player, sometimes playing out, his happy style serves him well as the beatings don't stop, till 'ya drop.
Blair 'Randaloo' Rendulich
Blair is everywhere. An all round skill player, he's an asset to his team & the league, digging out the puck from his end and penetrating deep within the offensive end. In 2012/13 Blair is pushing the Leaky Basements to the ultimate pinnacle of sporting achievement, the Mimico Cup.
Graham 'Shiv' Shrive
In this effemitive pose, Graham embodies cycling's awkward place in sports. Luckily, as an accomplished cyclist Graham leveraged his sporting proficiency as a founding skater, and has grown his seasons to be voted by his peers as Most Pugnacious player in 2011/12. Graham brings his Kamikazee style to the ice puncturing lines of defense in fearsome attacks.
Voted Most Pugnacious Player (MPP) - 2011/12 Season

Marna 'Mayhem' Yates
But for the historic lineage of the league's name, we'd be called Mimico Dad's Hockey Organization (and Mom!)...MDHOM? with Marna's addition. As her Ice Name suggests, Marna is a whirlwind on the ice and drives the offensive position for her team with style. A welcome addition in year 2.
Voted Most Improved Player (MIP) - 2013/14 Season
Voted Most Improved Player (MIP) - 2013/14 Season
Matt 'Boomerang' Lane
This upside down import from the land of Oz ruffles Dodo feathers with his two way stick handling...you never know if the puck is coming left, or right. A founding skater, Matt was voted by his peers as Most Improved player in the 2011/12 season thanks to solid effort.

Paul 'Yeowch' Icke
Snap shots and well placed passes distinguish this founding skater. Noticeable by the flowing locks as he flies by, this solid player seems to know everyone. A Mimico resident, you can find him in the arena with his little ones before he straps on the equipment for a serious skate with the big boys.
Mark 'RAZER" Raes
Our newest skater, Mark joins the Mimico Dads early in the 2013/14 season following a stellar pre-season try-out. Drafted to the DARK Midget Cowboys in his inaugural season, Mark brings brings clean shaven precision and tenacity to the ice.

John "JFR" Frogley-Rawson #6 B #17 W
You want solid, stonecold, shutdown defence - John's your man in Mimico. John brings down tenacious puck pressure on opponents and has them coughing up biscuts like mad bakers. The Bud's may have JVR to help Bozak and Mitch around, but the Dad's have got JFR making forwards look like Bozo the Clown.
Rylan "Ray Ban" Shaw #
Rylan went supersonic in his 2017 MDHO debut, notching 2 with 3 helpers to break White's 8 game winless drought. This smooth skating superstar buzzes the tower (and twine) with so many fly by's, Air Boss Johnson now drinks his coffee from a sippy cup.
Erik "The Viking" Holmberg #77
Offensive invasions are what Erik does well and often on the unsuspecting and meek. This solid, brooding winger is an immovable presence on the ice, waiting to axe one home on helpless 'keepers of the net.
Domenico "Dominator" Magisano #2
Domenico has been described by many as the most interesting man in the world. The Dominator taught us all to play hockey, and taught Chuck Norris martial arts. His hockey style can be described as a little bit Tiger Williams and a little bit bowling ball. Once he gets going he is unstoppable and stays thirsty (my friend) for that puck.
